If you are an avid pro wrestling fan, you know exactly who is photographed here.
Bray Wyatt, a great storyteller and even better person. A man who’s character work rivaled the likes of the Undertaker. The cult leader from the bayou will have the whole world in his hands!
For me personally, Bray Wyatt had become the reason why I started watching pro wrestling again as an adult. He had become an inspiration to me in how relatable and determined he was.
Unfortunately, Bray’s career was cut short after passing in 2023 due to covid relations. He will forever be missed and loved by the community that is pro wrestling. Remembered for not just his storytelling, but also his kind heart.
But no, this movie is not about pro wrestling. For several years people have speculated how great it would be for Bray’s cult leader character to get a film adaptation, as did I.
Fast forward several years and I am writing scripts and directing films in my own right. So knowing all this I had that crazy thought…

The Concept

So what can I do without WWE coming for every dollar I’ll ever make?
Telling this story you have to ride that balance between the source material and taking your own liberties. Which can be really hard sometimes.
By no means is this going to be a direct adaptation. But I am a fan of easter eggs and references just as much as the next guy. Symbolism is the key!
In this story there will be plenty of homages to not just Bray Wyatt and his career, but also other talents like Nikki Cross, Alexa Bliss, Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan, and others.
Of course the bulk of this movie HAS to take place on a cult compound in the bayou. And it HAS to be about a crazy leader of said cult. With floral shirts, family members, white rabbits and all that other fun stuff.
But the biggest swerve in this film, I must warn you. He will NOT be the main character. But the main antagonist (as he should be)!
The Characters
Our Main Character
Detective Nicole Carter
Our story will follow Nicole Carter, a young police detective sent out on her first real case. Scoping out a family compound for answers as to why people keep going missing in the area.
Nicole is determined in her pursuit of her career. But struggles with confidence. She is a people pleaser. Typically does as she’s told regardless of if she thinks it’s right. It’s her way of survival.
How will she deal when she runs into a man who calls himself the true face of fear?
Our Main Antagonist
Father Rain Sutton
Father Rain Sutton is of course our Bray Wyatt inspired character.
After so many years, he is still heartbroken from the loss of his sister, Abby. Who he watched drown as a child. And on top of that, his compound is thinning on recourses.
Trying to fix these problems, a young detective visiting the compound seems to be his answer.
How does he fair in the pursuit of becoming a God?
